Holly Brook来自美国的Wisconsin，她6岁起就开始登台演出，15岁时已经和母亲一起录制了3张民谣独立唱片，并组建了自己的第一支Jazz乐队。2003年她来到了Los Angeles寻求自己的音乐梦想，最终她出众的才华被著名的现代摇滚团体Linkin Park看中，将她签到了乐队自己的厂牌Machine Shop Recordings旗下。去年乐队成员Mike Shinoda发行了首张个人专辑"The Rising Tied"，其中便收录了一首与Holly Brook合作的歌曲"Where'd You Go"。今年这首歌曲在美国电台意外大热，Holly Brook这个优美的女声也开始得到了人们的关注。

初听Holly Brook很容易让人们联想到Dido，同样是凭藉著一首与rap艺人合作的歌曲而出名，她的声线和唱法也与Dido颇有几分相似。不过Holly Brook的音乐无论在旋律走势还是配乐上都更加偏向民谣风格。今年4月她发行了首张试水Digital EP，其中收录了包括"Curious"和"Saturday"在内的5首歌曲。"Saturday"则是一首轻松欢快的民谣小调，简单的木吉他伴奏与Holly Brook婉转跳跃的演唱勾勒出了一幅幅颇具生活气息的画面。

她有着属于自己的干净特质，将一种静默的味道临近的 发挥出来，让人有种欲罢不能的冲动，适合任何场合欣赏。它带来的是水面漂浮的感觉，而她本人也犹如一只水中的小鱼，让人捉摸不透，我喜欢这种游离的感觉，那你呢？
