老萨新作《The Empire of the World IV》

A few precisions: it IS not a mod, requires only ERA 1.92 (WoG 3.59 executable), does not have new objects except 10-15 ones, does not change the game mechanics, everything plays as in regular WoG. The install package will be around 10 Mb, and will go in one click. ERA 1.92 will be installed over WoG 3.58 and keeps compatibility with all 3.58 maps, no conflicts. The dialogs shown in pics are only for managing economy or army, they do not change the way the game is played.  They have same use for example as Battle academy in TDS woodmelon map, you buy abilities from screen instead of visiting some object. All mechanics are kept 100% safe.

It has its own custom lod, so you can have it installed and play other maps at same time without any change. So it is less problematic than 300 or Atlantis, which changed game graphics.

这也不能就断定老萨懂中文啊，有可能是风侠还是谁有跟他联系？

不过根据老萨的话的意思，那就跟风侠是一个观点了

这个就是3.59的前期了，看来要准备变革了。如果能兼容3.58的话，它的生命力应该更顽强

当初wog出来的时候，身边很多h3饭也是抵制的态度
后来发展成只玩wog了……233
其实这就好像星际2，地图编辑器提供了无限的可能，让星际2的每一张地图都变成一个完全不同的游戏，就像瓦里奥制造那样，玩腻了练一追二追裸奔玩腻了力盾战术玩腻了翡翠塔制造BUG兵，然后去换个游戏规则尝试其他玩法，h3为啥也不可以呢

我看你们都误会我的意思了。

我从来都不是抵制WOG本身的变革和发展。事实上，我正是希望如此。

我的意思只是，做一张地图，只是做地图，而不是修改WOG内部数据，比如换生物的DEF或者宝物的DEF。

我赞成增加内容，反对替换内容。
不过从老萨的回复来看，好像没必要为此担心了。

Thank you for your offer, but it is not ready for public test. I have to do it because I am using new 3.59 tools which modifies scripts in real time in game, so fixing errors and typos. When I said 36 months, it is not the time map took to make (8 months) but time spent in game to finish 252x252 map. It is HUGE. But I was exaggerating, now that I test it it seems it will take <>24 months. Maybe less if Logistic specialists.

Month 9 hard battle. Rust dragons have big stats and +200 damage vs archdevils

哈哈，事实证明老萨看的还是英文，哪怕是GO大爷或者是度娘的英文

看来像玩这个图还得用3.59，大家可以慢慢等了。

看看ERA手册也许你会打消这个念头。

对于SOD玩家来说，你也可以用类似的话来吓唬他，“看看ERM手册你就知道WOG有多复杂了”
我的观点是，只要ERA不抛弃3.58，那么就值得升级。

改动下也好，wog3.58已经被压榨干了，很难再提起兴趣。
