Yes, when leaving artefacts, WoG is looking in the backpack, not equipped artefacts. It always was like that.

The original TEWIII version comes with a dat file, which contains all the needed wogify options. So, just place the dat into /maps and click yes to wogify process.

I never knew how to introduce the "warfare" script as custom script, thus my dat file. With dat the map works perfectly, and with the tested scripts. Without the dat can't be played. All the map is requiring the warfare script as a base for fights.

But, if I understand well the problem, the chinese WoG version can't handle a dat english version file. Thats why they had to change. With WoG 3.58 english version, the map runs perfectly.

Yes, it is right. It will show map rules choosen from the custom dat file. The map MUST be wogified, thats how the .dat files work. If you cancel, it will cancel all my scripts, so map will be unplayable.

I guess you never played with a .dat file and that why you are confused. Just place the .dat in Heroes/maps and click "Yes" to wogify.

Actually,I had already through this map twice.
First time I play this map for double movement and upgrade 7th level into 8th level.

What settings? The settings are imported from the .dat., whatever you choose.

Steps:

1) Initialize your wog settings to "default" and save.
2) Place the .dat in /maps
3) Start the game and click yes when asked to wogify.

Thats all. The wogification will import rules from the .dat, not from your rules.

I have tried loading your dat file into WOG setting, and make some changes then save dat file. It works too.

In chinese version, Yunings help me to introduce most of scripts as custom scripts. But scripts doesnt work.

Thats ok, but I cannot guarantee that the map will work with other options. TEWIII was carefully tested with the original .dat, any change will screw it.

The scripts I could not use as custom were:

1) Creature banks set to unvisited every 28 days and offer harder battles + rewards.
2) Warfare

Thats why I used a .dat. Now, if someone finds a way to use them as custom, the map could be redone without a .dat. But I still can't see why a .dat bothers so much. Many WoG maps work with a .dat.

Do you mean that when the map rules appears,what I should do is just click yes and don't change it?

By the way,it seems that the map will run perfectly even I choose not to wogify it.

No, it will not work later, because the .dat file contains the "creature banks" and "warfare" script. So, yes, early the game will work, but later you will be stuck.

Just click "Yes" when asked to wogify and you will have a perfect game.
