Just get start, and I have some questions at very early scenario:
(1) Armored Cavalry (nightmare appearance), can counterattack 5/0 times at 1st/2nd level, is that a bug?
(2) The original SOD objects(mine, seer house etc.) are substituted by WOG objects, feel uncomfortable. Are those your map configuration, or something wrong with my WoG revision?
(3) Sharp shooter which replaces human archer is too imba as it appears as 2nd level creatures.
(4) No pet?
(5) Is there any use to switchover btw arch angel and black dragon?

It is a WoG map so many things can have a different layout, because it can be done :nianjing:
Armored cavalry can counter attack, yes, thats why they will be the strongest unit in the game (if used well)
A few mines were replaced by other objects. It is my fault as I played HoMM3 for 10 years and got bored with well known objects. However it should not disturb you too much, just click on them to see what they are.
Sharpshooters are level 2 yes.
At the hill forts you can upgrade and reupgrade all the castle creatures. Just look in the abilities panel to see the difference between upgrades.
Example: lava sharpshooter have +500 attack vsAncient Behemots/thunder birds and Titans/naga queens
His upgrade, the arctic sharpshooter will have +500 attack vs Archdevils/effrets and Hydras/wiverns.
So when barbarians attack you with titans etc you have the option to keep lava SS so have a deadly attack vs them.
If barbarians attack you with Archdevils you have the option to upgrade lava SS to Arctic SS to kill Archdevils faster. Then you can reverse the upgrade.
It makes the battle more versatile, as you will get attacked by 6+ different armies each week. In my game I never had to upgrade anything at the hill fort, because I always had a good defence. But just in case you are caught with pants down by the invaders, you can win a hard battle with few troops but well upgraded.
You dont need to upgrade Angels to black dragons. But there will be one battle later where you will have to. You will receive a message about and why.
Edit: the experience feature is different from other maps. Experience can not be gained from battles. So some creatures will have a special ability when at 0 experience but the ability will dissapear if any experience occur. In this way I can control 60+ battles on the map and customize 80+ creatures.
Example: Antichrist can cast armageddon if at 0 experience. but not at 12000. When you fight them in early game, I script them to have 12000 so they will be easier. Later in game, I want harder fights against them. So I script their experience in the way that they will have more abilities enabled.Conclusion, the same creature will have different stats regardless where you are in the story advance.
The nightmares have +5 retaliation at 0 Exp. Because you will always be at 0 experience. Did not bother to add retaliation at higher levels just because you will never have it...so it is not a bug.
What is a pet? A new script from chinese mapmakers? Never heared about. I want it!

Well, it seems like I just need to defense instead of searching items, open the blocks, beat thousands of monsters... That's great.
I don't understand why there's no PET active in this map.

No, you don't need to defense. You will have to do both: defence and kill everything on the map, unlocking ways etc. The map must be completed before 12-1-1. (loss condition).
What is a pet?

Oh, My god. I thought these creatures had the same abilities as in other maps. What different damage they did to those high level creatures!
Yes, it's a wonderful setting!The hill forts are easily found nearby every human castle.

Pet: No, I never use pet, I dislike the commanders. They unbalance the game and I am not able to script them right. So: disabled.

Actually 5 players completed the map. But I doubt they know about the chinese forum. But I completed the map 4 times myself so if need help I am always glad to do it.

Can you help me to understand the statement "visit the arena and library with ALL your generals (dismiss when they visited and recruit the next available)" as in your walkthrough? What's the purpose to do that? Event trigger?

There are several areas in the map. More you advance in the game, each area will be opened to invaders (using the monolith exits).
So you will need 5-8 very strong generals to defend all those areas while Alexander advance through the map. Every time when you find an arena or library of enlightenment visit it with all your generals to boost their stats. But you can recruit only 16 heroes in this scenario. Once they are all recruited and placed in garrisons, there is no free hero left.
So, dismissing one on day 7 will make him available in tavern next day, so you can recruit him in another town without having to walk with him whole map to visit some boost structure. It is like "fake" town portal.

You should always keep two heroes in the tavern. Then dismiss one heroes after his movement is used up. Now you hire one hero from the tavern, you will find the hero dismissed right now in the tavern, with full movement.

I think we misunderstood on this one. The goal is not to gain full movement, but to hire an hero in another town.
Example:
Red player can recruit up to 16 heroes: 8 might (knights) and 8 magic (clercs). Month 2-3 you will have them all recruited and garrisoned (with sac of golds bought from the black merchant). The map has no town portal. So if you want to recruit a new hero, tavern is empty. So, to recruit an hero in town X dismiss one in town Y on day 7.
Thats all. Nothing to do with full movement, but hero availability.

Of course, to recruit a hero in another town is the basic goal of dismissing a hero.
But you can try this, always keep two heroes in the tavern, so that you can move a hero to any town at any time. It's not necessary to wait till next Monday. Just remember, always keep tow heroes in the tavern before you dismiss a hero and recruit him.

You are right, but in this map you will need very early all 16 heroes recruited, just play it and you will find out why :good_job:
It is not WOG related but basic HoMM3 strategy.:)
